Tahoe's BEAR League Stars in Animal Planet TV Show

the focus of an upcoming series of episodes on the national television
program Animal Planet.
The three-part mini-series "Blonde vs. Bear" offers an up close look at
volunteers for the Homewood, Calif.-based BEAR League as they respond to calls about bears and conflicts with humans around the lake and neighboring mountains.
The first episode is 10 p.m. Thursday with the others set for 10 p.m. March 24 and 31.
BEAR League Executive Director Ann Bryant says a film crew spent more than four months with volunteers last summer. She says they've had national media attention before but the Animal Planet shows will offer an in-depth study of the non-profit group's work to keep bears safe and wild in their natural habitat.
